Sensing

Through 2 CCD cameras, air pressure sensor, air flow sensor, optical encoders, force sensors, microphone.

Planning

Using three computers to plan: one controls the robot, one generates the accompaniment MIDI data, and one processes data from the CCD cameras.

Acting

With lungs, mouth, and a tongue that are closely modeled on human organs, it plays the flute just like a human.
